I thank you for the fine job you are doing here on these boards. Unfortunately, as offences are too many to keep in check constantly, the occasional crime against literacy may still slip through, but SG is still far better on this front than most of the boards I've been to recently. It is comforting to know that here on Suicidegirls.com I will not be assaulted with a constant barrage of misspellings, incorrect usage and the intolerable netspeak. Your service is appreciated.

Well at least I try an comply with the grammar part, as for the spelling I apologize. Its one of those things that I have never been very good at, I blame ADHD for this. The curious part about it is that I have no trouble spelling things when it comes to complex medical terminology. The rest of it is up for grabs.
Dat an us pirates don' have much need for no edumacation!

Now I may have dropped out of pirate grammar school but I would have thought "We pirates don't much be needing no edgerumications".

Your both wrong pirate-grammatically as you didn't include a single usage of "arrr". This is the phrase that clearly separates pirate-speak from drunken-scotsman-swahili. It's inclusion, while primarily nonsensical, is thought to be useful as a pause for the formation of thought or an audibal distaction to cause fear or mask the sound of noisy bodily emanations.

Ye both be wrong says I. Ye didn't use a single "Yarrr". This be the phrase that sets us apart from drunken-scotsman-swahili. When it be included, it be mainly nonsensical, though it be useful as a pause for the formation of thoughts or a distaction to cause fear. It be used at times to cover random body noises. Avast ye scurvey scalawag, afore I run ya through!

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to cite you for homophone and apostrophe abuse.

Grammar Police, keeping the boards tolerable for grammar nazis since 2003.

Not to be confused with the Spelling Police.

I love to know that there are still people out there that think that someone's use of gramar and spelling are the primary signs of intellegence.

Spelling is like Math. Some people are really good at it, and the people that are usually dominate the field. But, as many of our past mentors within the world of academia have shown, it is seldom that the really intellegent bother which such simple matters.

I agree. Not to mention the fact that it values education instead of intelligence, it restricts creative expression, and it emphasizes past models of communication instead of the evolution of language. In fact, I'm writing something about this very issue.
