I had a heated "discussion" with my GF's grandma about this recently. She said she "feels bad" for the children of inter-racial couples. Because it's "so hard" on the kids. She still considers mixed race kids socially "damaged goods".

Well, now you have a study to point to and say, "Look, the only people who actually feel that way are YOU and YOUR generation, and unless they're going to be trying to socialize with or get a job from someone 80+ years old, it's really not going to be a problem for them."

My wife told me that our neighbor told her at our yard sale this weekend that her teenage daughter was "getting into all kinds of trouble: ditching school, mouthing off, and dating fucking mexicans."
Nice. 
It will be pretty funny when she sees us together.

I wouldn't want my daughter dating "fucking Mexicans" either. Maybe a Mexican, but certainly not one designed to "fuck." And certainly not many at once.

My grandparents are very odd to me.. they have said it is ok to date people of another race.. but that it would be out of the question to marry. WHAT??!
This is especially puzzling because our heritage is european and Native American.. aren't those 2 different races? I don't get it

Socially damaged?? If anything, I think it'd be wonderful to have a mixed ethnicity family. It opens the children up to multiple cultures, and would probably make the children more racially accepting of other people. More acceptance = less hate = better world.
