Run... no really. I've lost 60 lbs. since March. I ran my fucking ass off, swearing the whole damn way. Hard exercise suppresses appetite. After that, start making small changes to your diet so you're eating healthy.

Yep, keeping your metabolism up is important. A light breakfast helps to do this as well. Cut out all soda, and drink water with your meals.

I'm told choosing a REASONABLE target weight, multiplying that by 10 and then taking in that many calories a day is where you should start your food intake and then adjust from there. So if you weigh 170 and want to be 160, take in 1600 calories a day. On top of that, exercise 30-60 hours at a time at least 3-4 times a week and keep your heart rate up and pounds start falling off.

I've been doing this for three weeks and it's already noticeable. I walk/run 35-50 minutes every day and watch what I eat.

Also: NO ALCOHOL. When your liver breaks it down. your body makes metabolizing it it's top priority and halts ALL other calorie-burning. Most alcohol doesn't get converted to fat.. "beer bellies" happen because your body stores the other calories in your body while it's busy burning beer (alcohol) off. No alcohol.

Always eat a big breakfast.
Absolutely no fast food, aside from subway if you must.
sensible lunch
try to go walking or running before you eat dinner.
after 7:30 only eat veggies and fruits.
more veggies than fruits.
Go to be Early, people seem to forget that sleeping actually helps the weight loss process.

As a former trainer most of the advice is spot on. A max of 2 to 2 and a half pounds a week is a pretty safe way to go. I also cannot emphasize the importance of cardio and eating 6 times a day. This is known as grazing and therefore you avoid the American way of eating three large meals a day. Good Luck in your goals. smile
