Responsible answer: It's probably not a good idea to try to loose that much weight so quickly.

Go to the health food store and buy a bottle of Colon Cleanse. Seriously, my girl lost 2 lbs. in one day!

Five pounds in two weeks is reasonable. Up your exercise, drink lots of water, and make sure you eat six small meals per day (fruit or veggies in between your three square meals) so your metabolism doesn't slow down. No fast food. No soda. Very limited sugar and fat.

Find someone who has a bad case of the flu and lick their tongue. One time in high school I got a flu type stomach thing and couldn't keep anything down. When I was all better I looked all hot and ripped 'n shit. Sadly I didn't catch it by licking anyone's tongue or licking anything else for that matter. I was so lonely.

* Avoid alcohol, processed sugar, and other empty carbs. If you want bread or pasta, go for whole grain instead of "white." These foods tend to make you retain water and, thus, extra weight.

* But, don't dehydrate yourself. Drink plenty of water. "Water weight" is more a matter of the foods you eat than the amount of water you drink.

* Get active. Do 30 minutes of cardio exercise (walk, run, bike, whatever), at a pace that allows you to carry on a conversation, at least five days a week. Look for ways to sneak activity into your day . . . take the stairs, park at the far end of the parking lot, walk to the next bus stop instead of your usual one, etc.

* DO NOT SKIP MEALS, ESPECIALLY BREAKFAST. You need to eat to keep your metabolism going. Breakfast gives you an automatic metabolism boost and tends to prevent you from feeling ravenous later in the day/evening. Skipping meals puts your body in conservation mode, and it will slow its metabolism down in order to ration out resources.

* Eat a few small meals rather than two or three major ones. Go nuts with the veggies and fruits.

* Do a little research and find some natural "fat burners." Certain foods and such can actually help boost your metabolism and block the chemicals that help you store fat. I would emphasize the "natural" part, though. Don't go taking speed or taking up smoking for the sake of a few pounds . . . not worth it.

* Oh yeah, and . . . good luck. smile

If you lose weight that fast it is more than likley you will gain the weight back and more eeek Go to the doctors or a gym where they can give you a eating and exercise plan., 2lbs a week is best and you should be able to keep it off (former fat person) kiss biggrin

i wouldn't say very limited sugar and fat, both are important if you obtain them from un-processed sources such as avocados and fruit they are most beneficial

right on with the six small meals though
also make sure to consume some protein at each meal
ex. natural peanut butter ( without hydrogenated oil ) with a whole wheat muffin
ex. a small serving of oatmeal with raisins and walnuts
both have protein, carbs, sugars and fats in them. . . but the fiber in whole grains and oat meal slow absorbtion and help you to feel full. . . only two pounds a week is really advisable. . . NO CONVIENCE FOOD. . . find healthy alternative to things you can't live without, go to a co-op and for god's sake read the fucking labels !!!
also, go see a dietician or a nutritionist and never, never skip breakfast.

Drink lots of water.
Since I had leg surgery 3 and a half months ago, I've lost close to 25 pounds.
My pain pills made me have dry mouth, so I upped my water intake by 400% or some ridiculous amount and started dropping weight like crazy.

No other change in lifestyle, even LESS movement than I was getting before. Dunno if it would work for you, but it certainly seemed to help me.

I don't believe this is an "eventually" kind of operation.

I seem to recall that 2 lbs per week is the healthy rate of loss. Depending on your diet, and exercise level, start walking on a treadmill or biking for 45 minutes a day. Cut out things like white bread/rice/pasta and sugars. That should work.
