Teenage pop star HILARY DUFF has celebrated her 18th birthday by recording an anti-obesity radio ad for the Looking Good California campaign.

The singer/actress turned 18 yesterday (28SEP05), the same day as her new spot started airing.

In the short ad, Duff urges fans to "stay fit and eat right"because "what goes inside is eventually going to show on the outside."

She might be too effective:

And how are her pants staying up? Are they taped to her hipbones?

What the hell happened to her?
Too many drugs, or too little food?

From the looks of it, nothing but Red Bull, cocaine, and iceberg lettuce, then.

Or maybe she's working too hard. It is possible to lose a lot of weight by overworking and missing meals. I lost fifteen pounds my freshman year in college just that way. Fifteen pounds doesn't seem like much, but when the number you're subtracting fifteen from is one forty...

Anyways, my point is that when I came home from my first year of college, my mother and grandmother were worried about me because, apparently, I'd made the same kind of transformation she seems to have.

What's the opposite of starfucking? Is it player hating?

Why is it then when someone like her or Lindsay Lohan or even Nicole Richie lose weight they always look sick or really skeletal? Has anyone else noticed this? It's like they're dying or something. Their head also looks too big for their body, yuck!

have we seen multiple pictures that have her looking that skinny?

Also, I don't pity many celebrities, but this girl was sexualized from when she was like 15, I can't imagine the pressure she might feel. I actually feel bad for her.

Imagine what the Olsens have gone through. Like Michael Jackson and Shirley Temple, they grew up in the spotlight. It can't be an easy way to live.

Seriously. Speaking of which:

If "what you put inside shows up on the outside," I believe that glossy sheen in Joel Madden's skin is made of finely persperized Desperate Young Soul of Hillary Duff. For chrissake man, he's 26 and she's 17. I know Good Charlotte has always pandered to middle-schoolers, but DAMN. surreal

Or they have lots of people taking photos of them with bad lighting and long lenses, a perfect way to make them look like Skeletor. Really, these are probably the worst photographing conditions the general public see them under, and then compare them to shots taken in studios with full make-up and lights.

Psh, that's nothing. My dad was thirty when he met my mom, who was fifteen. They married when she was eighteen.

Although, I suppose the fact that all she'll say about it is "He should have been arrested" and they're now ten years divorced doesn't speak well of the idea...

That is definitely true as well. It's like instead of having the last two ribs removed they've had lots of organs removed so you can only see their skin and bones! eeek

And I realize I'm a hypocrite because I'm sticking up for Hillary Duff and I freely rip Ashley Simpson. But the first time I ever heard of Hillary Duff was 3 years ago, so she was 14 or 15, and she was all tarted up in a really provocative pose on some movie billboard. I was like, "wow that chick is hot," and then I found out she was 14 or 15. Somebody (maybe her parents) was profiteering off of their daughter's jailbat status and i think that's fucking disgusting.

Anyone who wants to lecture me about sexuality and blah blah blah, bring it on.
