Since I’ve been writing for the internet I’ve been luckily enough to talk to many of my heroes such as David Cronenberg, Bernardo Bertolucci, Martin Amis, Bob Odenkirk, Robert Smigel, Neil Jordan, Alan Moore, Frank Miller and countless others. Now with my hour long conversation with Chris Elliott, my life has come full circle. I would put Chris Elliott’s best work up against any of the people I mentioned above. While some may scoff at that simply because his unique brand of comedy isn’t looked upon...

My gay ex-lover (and Iowa M.A. graduate) co-wrote The Shroud of the Thwacker with Chris. We were dating while they were wrapping up the book and they've just started working on Chris' next book.

I've loved Chris Elliott since the early Letterman days when he was "the man under the seats".

Good interview! Thanks.

Cabin Boy is this generations Battleship Potemkin. They will be showing it in film school 20 years from now. Elliot is an underated genius.

He can be really funny and seems to be talented but somehow ends up with shitty parts. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but it seems he never reaches his full potential.

Chris Elliott's comedic stylings are severely underappreciated in their time. I'm quite looking forward to seeing his appearance in Seattle later this month...

I wish the interviewer would have asked about Handsome Boy Modeling School. That was such a good album and a great Get a Life episode.

Great interview. I've been a Chris Elliott fan since the beginning. Cabin Boy is a truly odd, but great little movie...

"I'm hot dog boy! I'm hot dog boy!"

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Yep"
"If alien was that great hot, imagine what it's like cold!"

God, I loved Get A Life....but that show sure did drive my mom nuts. She HATES Chris Elliot.
