Not for a while. Year and a half. Setting an appointment through the health service is a hassle. But most of their patients take such horrible care of their teeth, I get all kinds of compliments whenever I do make it in. When I was a kid the private dentist always scolded and lectured me.

I'm worried about your gums...

I floss daily, and rinse with hydrogen peroxide/water, per the dentist's advice. I'm hoping it helps. I wish they could just knock me out, like they do with a dog, and clean my teeth and then wake me up and let me go home and lick myself.

It sucks balls but you have to do it. I took at least 5 years off once and I had a few cavities when I came back. I go twice a year now. The scraping is definately the killer but you always feel great after.

Floss Floss Floss!!!!!!!!!
And if you can afford it, electric brushes like the Sonicare or the Oral B/Braun can often do a better job than regular manual brushes.

Maybe 6 months ago? I love the dentist. When I was younger I'd fake a tooth ache so I could go more often. Sad part was I was so convincing I often thought I had one because my teeth would start to hurt. ... I'm a strange being.

If you go to a doc that specializes in phobias, they will give you a script for valium pre-examination and give you gas during the cleaning...

Going to my dentist is like a trip to the spa...But you know, with laughing gas...

I have no fillings, but I haven't been to the dentist in over two years, so I think that will change now that I'm under my mom's insurance again.
