I was just at the dentist in August.
My work benefits kick in Oct 1 though, so I can get the optometrist done then.

man I don't want to go.
I've had fillings in every tooth. some teeth 3. my teeth suck.

yeah I know the feeling. When I was 15 I had like 10 fillings that year. In fact I thikn it was 12. I told my parents to just take out my teeth and give me fake ones.

Umm, not since last winter. I had to get two root canals on separate occaisons last year. It isn't even the fact that it hurts, and your face is numb for hours afterwards, but that it's so fucking expensive. I have all sorts of cavitites that need to be filled, but I can't afford it, so they are only going to get worse, and cost me more money. God damned teeth. Too bad we don't get new ones all the time like sharks. Evidence against "intellegent" design. An intellegent designer would have given us stainless steel teeth.

I need my wisdom teeth out. I have needed them out for a while. I also need some fillings.

I'm getting sick just thinking about it.

I am terrified of dentists. Absolutely, utterly terrified.

The last time I went to the dentist was to get my wisdom teeth taken out. Yah, I'm not too found of them either.

Went about two months ago...had a lot of work to do, so had to put it on hold for a bit. I think the dentist is just trying to turn me into his personal piggy bank.

went earlier this year for a cleaning after a couple of years of nothing.
cleaning produced enough embarassing tartar that i'm now a semi-regular flosser. dentist also proclaimed that one of my fillings looked old and i should get it replaced somewhat soon because i'd one day find myself eating taffy and it would just pop out.

three days later, i lost part of that very same filling on a mouthful of sour skittles. the replacement of that filling was not fun. i'd have no fillings but the enamel on some of my molars is thin/soft, and i had to have fillings as a child.

even cleanings aren't fun though. =( i hope i never end up on the business end of a root canal.

It's the picks and scraping. And the pain.

*shivers*

Edited to add: I prefer female hygienists, at least some of whom I have found to be gentler. But I was told once to get a male dentist and tell him, "You can do whatever you want with me teeth as long as, while you're working on them, I can hold your balls in my hand."
