CULTURE: Got a Really Bad, Stupid Dog?

Toymaker Hasbro is launching its new fake pet, "Scamps: My Playful Pup." As an advertisement gimmick, Hasbro is looking for the worst dog in America.

We're looking for your disobedient, worst behaved, and most un-trained canines! Finalists will be invited to compete in a Finals event in New York City, where a panel of judges will determine who truly is the "worst of the worst."

One grand prize winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize and extensive training with a leading dog obedience expert to become more obedient like "SCAMPS: MY PLAYFUL PUP." SCAMPS: MY PLAYFUL PUP is the most realistic plush puppy in Hasbro's popular FURREAL FRIENDS line. Just like a real puppy, he will really respond more than 20 voice commands and you can even teach him to do cool tricks like shake, speak, beg, count, wave, sing and even add!

Local searches have already taken place in San Diego, CA, and Chicago, IL, with a search in New York City coming up on Saturday, Oct. 22. Mail-in entries are also accepted (just mail a videotape, not your actual ill-behaved pooch).

If you win, you can use some of the prize money to replace all the things in your house your bad, bad, bad dog has destroyed!
