My god, what a wonderful movie! I saw an advanced screening tonight and was pleasantly surprised. The animation, songs and storyline are all wonderfully constructed. I highly recommend seeing this film.

I can't wait for it to come out! I have seen the trailer where they said it would play in select cities on the 16th, but I haven't seen it at a theater near me yet.

I would have thought NYC would get it early also.

It was one of the rare times I wished that a movie had MORE musical numbers in it smile Apparently it's based off of an old european folk tale, but Im lazy as sin and thus havent looked into that

Nah. Nightmare still takes the cake.
Corpse Bride is a nice short movie though (just over an hour).
Worth checking out.

Oh, nice. I didn't even know this was going to be a musical. More Elfman-meets-showtunes can never be bad.

NMB4XMAS was fairly short too so I'm not surprised...these movies take years to make.

They play a NBC tune on the preview....the music isn't recycled, is it?

Other than that, Im excited to see it.

Judging from the TV trailers, I have to say that it seems Tim Burton said to himself, "How can I instantly appeal to that demographic that became totally disillusioned after I did Planet of the Apes? I know! NBC + dead chick = Goth gold!"

it was definetly great to watch but the songs were still lame. and I felt a little weird leaving the theatre atracted to to a stopmotion animation corpse, but she had such nice legs

Yup. Nice to look at, but not a very good movie--thin plot, ho-hum music, gimmicky feel. Disappointing overall. Nightmare Before Christmas it is not.
