Criticized for being an SG member

So does anyone else have a SO who doesn't like this site and bitches and moans about you being on it??
Perhaps a jealousy streak that you never knew existed....about a website?

Who (not to compare or criticize) spends the equal amount of time on the phone in a seperate room.....

My SO isn't jealous, per se, but whenever he wants to start an fight about me being lazy, he does use SG as his argument.
"Well, if you weren't on SG so much..." or "It would have been done if you weren't on SG all the time." or my least favorite: "You could pay more attention to our kid, instead of SG..."
Yeah - hate that one... (which by the way, isn't true - I love SG, but love the baby more)

She used to, but now she's a member, so I think she understands why I'm on it so much.

When I read this thread title I thought of the time I was in a tattoo shop and noticed they had SG stickers in the bathroom. I commented to the owner and he said something to the effect of, "yeah some of those crazy girls came in here and made a scene." He never really looked at the site, but he had a bad attitude about it. Business = taken elsewhere.

Oh, and I have no SO, so nobody really cares how much of my time I fritter away each day on this site.

Hmm...I think I've been getting a lot of ribbing for it, but frankly, I think the people I've met on here so far have been people I really respect and admire...so I don't take it very seriously.

Besides...all of Toronto's wired up to MSN, Lavalife and/or Friendster. Why they aren't here representing the fun up north, I got no fuckin' clue. Probably anal retentive or something...

I do get a lot of ribbing from people at work. I've actually mentioned the site in the past as a case study for good design and optimization.

Toronto is one of the cities most represented on this site. There's even an SG:TO set.

It's possible for an SO to feel neglected due to the time their SO spends on the site.

It's possible for a female SO to feel that her man is paying attention to naked netgirls rather than to her.

My girlfriend is pretty understanding of me being on SG. She occasionally gets narky about it, just very occasionally.

If your SO is on the phone a lot, and still complains about your computer usage, maybe you two need to talk this through and come to a better understanding.
