Sometimes I really miss this show. Damn I love me some Scully. And the Lone Gunman. And that Mulder guy too. Show some love.

I dont really like that show, but it had its moments. There was an awesome scene were where Scully was doing an autopsy, inspecting the contents of the body's stomach. She was reciting the contents of the stomach to a tape recorder. Doing that made her stand up, and order a pizza. That was pretty fucking funny.

I totally loved that show as a kiddie. I had the trading cards and all. I even have the first four - including issue 0 - super limited edition copies of the X-Files comic book.

I watched a few episodes recently and was disconcerted by how slow the show was. I remembered it being full of action and madness and more action, but so much of it involved people discussing things in the FBI offices.

Somewhat relevantly, I loved Millenium and still do. I watched the entire first series a few months back and it really holds up well. Lance Henriksen = amazingly awesome.

I remember watching Millenium when it was still on TV, but I don't remember if I actually liked it, or if I just kept watching because it was by Chris Carter. So I haven't bought the DVD set because I'm afraid that I'll be disappointed.

And as for The X-Files, I own three or four seasons on DVD (if they weren't so fucking costly I'd have them all), and I really really have no patience for the conspirary-type episodes anymore, even though I used to be into them when I was younger. I skip those episodes and just watch the monster/ghost/serial killer/paranormal ones.

Anton, if the Millenium series was an X-Files episode, which kind would it be? Conspiracy episode or monster episode?

Millennium and X Files were both amazing. I still have yet to see the "Millennium meets the X Files episode" that i believe was aired right before the year 2000 after Millennium was canceled. What X Files season was that ??

The first (and best) season of Millenium only has hints of a conspiracy. It's more X-Files-monster-episode-meets-Seven. Lots of gory murders and rain and dark nights and overcast days and people being stabbed and mutilated and Lance Henriksen being the coolest, broodiest motherfucker in the history of television.

Oh, I just remembered another one, one of the coolest things I've ever seen on tv. Like I said, I'm not really a fan of the X-Files and I never really made plans to watch it or kept in mind when it was on.

Anyway, one night I turned on the tv to the Fox channel, and Cops was on. I like that show, so I sat down to watch it. The cop was responding to a wild animal bothering someone's house. The cop and cameraman walk up to the house that made the call, and there's these ungodly gashes in the front door. They look like claw marks, except whatever clawed the door had five fingers eeek WHAT THE FUCK?

Then the camera points up to a full moon and then you hear a wolf howl, and I started to wonder if I was losing my mind or something, because it was starting to look like Cops was filming a werewolf attack.

Keep in mind, I thought this was a for-real show of Cops, not the X-Files, and I was completely freaked out until the theme music came on. It completely fooled me.

I have almost all of the episodes on VHS, recorded live before stations started releasing all of their series' on DVD. I've been to an X-Files convention. I met Gillian Anderson, and was more starstruck and speechless than I've ever been meeting anyone else in my life.

I think it's pretty safe to say I'm a fan.

That was in the 7th season. The X-Files did a lot of stuff like that when they started running out of ideas, mostly because the original mytharc had for all practical purposes ended and they were just coasting now. The series really should have stopped after the 6th season and The Syndicate was eradicated. Therefore the first 6 seasons are the only ones that exist in my mind.

I did that when FX was putting them on every night, sometimes several times a day or as 24 hour marathons. I gave them to a friend eventually and bought the bootleg Asian DVDs, for about 1/10 the price of the regular ones. Though I'm considering ditching those and getting the DVDs, now that they've dropped in price to about $50 a season. The Asian DVDs have no special features frown

I'm not the kind of person who gets into long-winded debates about TV shows, so I'll just say, "I disagree."

The Millenium series finale was an episode of The X-Files, since Fox cancelled the series without allowing Chris Carter to wrap up the story. It was a monster of the week episode that I don't remember being too memorable.

I think I would've maybe enjoyed Harsh Realm, but I really wished they would've given The Lone Gunmen more of a shot, that show was the only one that had the same kooky humor and geekiness as The X-Files and was a worthy spinoff.

By the way, for those that don't already know, the lovely Hexe runs an X-Files group on the site.

Best 'X-Files' episode (in my opinion) is "Home" with the deformed inbred men and their legless mother that they keep under the bed.

Best use of Johnny Mathis ever.

Im always a sucker for "Clyde Bruckmans FInal Repose"
Peter Boyle was flawless as the guest star. I think i still get choked up watching this one on my old Vhs X Files tapes that are starting to get a little fuzzy. So many great episodes but if i had to pick a favourite this would be the one.
