(I don't have a media PC or set-up that would allow me to do this on my computer so I'm looking for a stand-alone component.)
I have no interest in recording TV broadcasts. I just want to transfer old VHS clips to DVD for archiving. Can someone recommend a single machine that would allow me to:
* transfer a ton of 3- to 60-minute clips from VHS to DVD
* index the burned disc (put in chapter breaks/stops) so that a regular DVD player can jump around to different points on the final copy
I've combed through reviews of different products for over a month now, and none mention whether or not they have an indexing feature, which makes me think that they don't....
