Dammit! I love this guy! And my love for him is solidified by the fact that he PUT HIS OWN STUFF ON NAPSTER so many years ago. Oh, and that he is cool enough to recognize that bad publicity (or even smack talk from the kids) is better than no publicity at all....

Wow, Raige and I were just talking about how much we love Dane Cook yesterday. I love his new album and the bonus DVD was a very nice touch. Great interview.

Dane Cook is, by far, one of the most upcoming talents that Hollywood has. His dark, cynical appeal really hooks in with the audience and just the engery. It really is like being at a rock show. Without the music.

I've absolutely LOVED dane cook since Simon Sez...the raptor routine was fucking hilarious. he is one of the most genuinely talented people i've seen come out of hollywood in a long time. i am really glad to see him doing so well with selling his cd's and whatnot...i've seen him on various talk shows lately and he never seems to run out of funny shit to say. i hope he comes through st. louis sometime in the near future...*hint hint* dane if you read these comments....please make a stop in the STL!!! soon! and congrats on all the success.

I love Dane Cook and I got his Retaliation disk set on preorder. Dane is the man, I hope I get to see his show that's coming out, I can't wait!

I saw him in Lansing late last winter. It was fucking awesome. Though the cashew story was a little better than the CD version.

I dont care for him because of his little bit he did on the VMA's talking about how they can put locater chips in children now when their born and how he would put in a detinator next to it also so if his kid ever got kidnapped he would just say " If i cant have'em then you cant either " and blow them up. Thats just not right, and i dont agree with that kind of comedy at all being a parent myself i took great offense to that. That was just sick. Kidnapping is a very serious issue these days because its so bad and its nothing to joke about and then saying that he would blow the kid up.....no, im sorry thats not funny, not at all!!

or when Mel Brooks did Hitler parodies?

those are all serious issues.

it bothers me when people are senstive about one subject and for that subject they are sensitive about but everything else is ok. give me a break

I only commented on this one comedian because he's what the thread is about. I dont agree with allot of other comedians as well because of their crude and innapropriate humor like the ones you mentioned above..........and i never said that everything else is ok...........

dane is really funny, and just the fact that he rasies a strong reaction in people means he's someone worth paying attention to. imo at at least.

I saw this and I knew it was going to hit some uptight people in the face who would disagree. And from some standpoint I guess I can understand, but it's no reason to write him off entirely.

But fuck dude, I thought the joke was hilarious.
