I might have 20 years ago . . . but not now. Unfortunately for him . . . he's gotten too old. He sure has had one hell of a fun life though, huh? A tell-all book by him, would make great reading!

On the surface, yes.

But being surrounded by a swarm of silicone injected airheads using me for fame and/or money just doesn't seem like something I could take for longer than one night.

Sorry Hef.

well, i like the part where i wouldn't have to do any real work, but other than that, he seems kinda pathetic. he's got the perfect life for a guy in his 20s, but 40 years later isn't it kinda sad he's still doing it?

Yeah, but not for the sex. I figure he's rich enough to do anything I'd want to do, and I'm not so terribly attached to my body that I wouldn't make a sacrifice in that department.

If given the choice, would you trade your life for Hugh Hefner's?

You'd be old and most likely not as handsome as you are now, but you'd be rich, a legend in your own time, and surrounded by beautiful scantily clad women 24/7.

I would never trade. His girls are all lame and silly. Now if there were a hugh hefner of SUICIDE GIRLS...then, well, i'd see singing a much differentt tune.

Not for all the money in the world. He is, by my calculations, a disturbed, sad, lonely man with no self esteem.

You may look at me cross-eyed for saying so because he's surrounded by women, celebrities and wealth...but the stories I've heard...and the things I've seen, even in his own documentaries, reveal some serious inner-issues.

First off, he has his stable of "girlfriends". I know money & power is a turn on for some women...but a sane person would know that these women are using him for career advancement. I'm not saying that's bad...they're consenting adults...but the question posed was would I want to be Hef. And the answer is...no thanks.

Even by admission of the "girlfriends" themselves...the sex is strictly scripted. There's a peckin gorder of who gets to do what to whom and when. Their clothes are laid out for them...it's just all very creepy to me. Very, very creepy.

Not quite. Give me the option of living his life with an ever-so-slightly different pin and you have me there. It's all about the journey, not the destination.

Nah. I'm not really a sexual guy, so being around all the Bunnies wouldn't do much for me. Any way, I'm still working on my aspirations, so I wouldn't want to put those to an end just to be an old guy who is well past his prime and doing some thing that I have no interest in at all. Ask me about a musician and I might change my mind, though. wink

My first reaction was "hell, yes!" But, then I thought...I do not like plastic women. That's why I'm a member here instead of Playboy.com. And, I wouldn't want to live in LA. And, I'm not a big fan of Tudor architecture, so the Playboy Mansion isn't exactly my taste. Additionally, while the idea of having a bevvy of women who for some reason want to schtupp my old, gross ass is appealing, I enjoy my alone time too much. Plus, those women aren't at all interested in who he is inside, he's just a meal ticket and a wallet. So, no, I don't think so.

No. I think life is more interesting without a mansion, piles of money and women who look more or less identical. For me that would be restrictive. Soul-wise, I mean, though outwardly I guess it would provide more "freedom" of a certain kind.
