I don't like them at all.
However, I do like to pull out other people's clery and much on it.

When you add the delicious, refreshing taste of clam, it's called a Bloody Caesar. And I find both drinks equally yucky. smile

That is ridiculously time consuming. I'm completely satisfied with purchasing a bottle or two of Major Peters'.

Years ago there was always a bottle of Major Peters in our fridge (my mom had one drink or so a month, and it was always a Bloody Mary) and the name was always a major source of amusement for my little brother and his friends. I admit it does sort of make me want to laugh. But then again, it is 4:30 in the morning.

i would be down for drinking a bloody mary if it didn't have like, nearly every ingredient i hate in it.

so i guess it's just vodka for me.

Sounds like an awesome Bloody. Mixers are fine when I want one on impulse, but if I know it is going to be a good laid back bloody mary weekend, I also like to do the prep work. I do cut out the "chopper" ingrediants in mine (except horseradish, which is mandatory), but may give it a try next time. Bloody Mary rim salt & seasoning adds a nice kick to the drink too.

nothing better than a bloody mary.

Ok, there are lots of things better than a bloody mary, but they are pretty tasty. But keep that clam shit out of it.

The secret to a good bloody mary - and this is used by all good london barmen - is a dollop of Heinz tomato kitchen.

Sounds good except you should ride yourself stupid on your bike, then rehydrate with that sodium and vodka slurry.

my recipe that i use in the bar:

-over ice, pour in your vodka of choice. i usually use a 16 oz. cup, and about a shot and a half of booze. you use more or less (or none) depending on your tastes/desire to get loaded/etc.
-add a shot of Major Peter's Bloody Mary mix. this is my favorite mix, but a lot of folks like the ones made by Tabasco.
-add a dash of orange juice. (for all intents and purposes, when i say "dash", i mean about a 1/2 oz.)
-add about 3-5 dashes of Worchester sauce.
-add a big fucking spoonful of Horseradish.
-add a dash or two of Peychaud's Bitters (my preference. any bitters will do.)
-add a shake or two of ground black pepper.
-add a shake of celery salt.
-add two or three dashes of your choice of hot sauce. (i don't like hot sauce- i know, i'm a freak! so i usually leave it out in favor of more Horseradish and pepper when i'm making them for myself.)
-squeeze in two lemons.
-add about an oz. or so of olive juice.
-shake or stir well- you don't want chunks of horseradish floating around!

and, if you want to do it like we do here in New Orleans, get yourself some spicy green beans to use as a garnish, along with olives. to make your bloody really spicy, add some of the juice from the spicy beans to your drink.

sounds complicated, but i can make one of these babies in under a minute, as long as i have all my ingredients within reach. wink just takes practice.
