the one thing i have noticed in the journals, is the amount of people who put Amelie down as a favourite film. one film i love myself. for its quirkiness and humour.

While I wouldn't count it as one of my favorites, it's one of those movies that if you were a girl and you didn't like it at all, I doubt I'd want to go out with you.

If you like "Amelie", "City of Lost Children" is a definite must as well (I've heard "Delicatessen" is great too, but I haven't managed to get ahold of it yet...)

City of Lost Children is probably my favorite Jeunet movie. But I liked Amelie. Good date movie.

I haven't seen Engagement yet... I keep meaning to.

It's in my profile as "the required Suicidegirl member mention of Amelie" or something like that. I dunno, I could watch it at pretty much any time and smile.

defginitely a good date movie. I haven't had the opportunity to break it out for one since all the girls I'd like to date have seen it, so the effect is diminished. still could be useful though.

All three are fanfuckingtastic. And no, that was probably not the apropriate word to use as praise.

Amelie is one of those movies, if you do not turn your face up, can enjoy and come away smiling. Audrey Tautou is totally hot. love
