I go to work in what I think are stylish clothes and I wear all 17 of my piercings. However, since you asked how important it is to me... I wouldn't think twice about taking out all the metal and wearing whatever suit, dress or uniform my boss told me to. Happily nobody has ever told me to do anything different than what I do right now. Looking a certain way is not more important than me career or financial well being. I am so not punk rock.

Heh. As soon as I can afford it the crappy cargo pants and mussy T-shirts are going out the window and getting replaced with hand tailored suits and dress shirts. I will wear nothing but formalwear for the rest of my days, and I will revel in it.

Never mind that some of it will be black with crimson lining and prominent pirate motifs. : )

But seriously, I just wear what's comfortable. If people are going to get to know me based purely on clothes, I pity them. If they're worth being friends with (or vice versa) it'll probably happen along the line somewhere.
