James Dewees formerly of the now defunct Get Up Kids is the brainchild behind the hardcore Reggie and the Full Effect. Their new album is called Songs Not to Get Married To.
reggie and the full effect has been melting my face since i was a freshman in high school...and the still continue to melt my face. i saw them a couple months back here in detroit....oh yes, the face was melted. keep rocking out reggie!
dude, reggie frickin' rules. i saw them a couple of years back and it was probably the most hilarious show of my life. kinda sucks that he won't be in costume anymore but damn, i wouldn't wanna wear all of that stuff on stage either.
I remember James talking to some kids after a Coalesce show at the Fusebox in KC about this "pop band" he was working on called Reggie and the Full Effect. I overheard this and just kind of went ... what the fuck? I stored the name away and looked it up when I got home. He had an .mp3 of Girl, Why'd You Run Away up on the site. I was immediately hooked.
James is a pretty fucking cool guy too. At least he was the last time I talked with him ('97 or '98 I think).
the only picture i have up in my dorm is me kissing james' cheek outside of the house of blues in orlando a few years ago.
i'm lame.
i love reggie to the death.
all the way to death! for real!
saw them twice on warped tour, and it rocked so hard. i don't even want to meet him anymore because i get [what i imagine is] this really creepy look in my eyes.
thank you for that.
i love reggie and the get up kids
the get up kids were on eof my first shows
they played with the anniversary
i think we listened to reggie the whole way there
