Freaked is one of the funniest movies ever made and I will fight anyone who says different, to the death. Freaked was the brainchild of cult hero Alex Winter and his co-creator Tom Stern. The film has had a long history of being fucked over. Back in 1994 the head of 20th Century Fox, Joe Roth, had greenlighted the film but just when it supposed to be released Joe Roth left for Disney and the new head of Fox hated it and ended up dumping it to video two years later.

Since that time the movie has...

heh, this is the first i've heard of this guy since bill and ted's bogus journey... maybe i just wasn't paying attention.

where's the question that asks if he's jealous that his "buddy" gets paid about 400,000,000 more per year then he does? tongue

Fantastic interview, full of good news! Freaked making DVD and the hope of The Idiot Box will better illustrate that Alex Winter is capable of greater projects yet to come! I can't wait to buy my copy!!! biggrin

Man...I remember when all that happened...What a surprising and excellent Interview.
I am also impressed that you guys talked so much about this underated, and unseen Gem...I am also impressed that Gibby from The Butthole Surfurs who actually appeared in a Videozine that Alex did, and it has Gibby whackin off into a hot frying pan, and it slowly congeals and turns into the word SATAN.
Classic..
That, and seeing Perry Ferrall and His gal before they did 'GIFT' i.e. before Perry and Casey got clean...That was also equally interesting back in 94.
Cannot wait to get ahold of This long awaited release.

Another great Interview...Thanks!

I have had a crush on Alex Winter for years....that man is a god among men. wink

The Idiot Box is still one of my favorite television shows of all time.
I still to this day make Lockjaw and Eddie the Flying gimp references!

It took me years to find another human being who saw Freaked, other than my brother who showed it to me. It's such a low-flying movie, but damn, is it hilarious. I'm gonna buy it the second I see it anywhere.

So awesome! I've had the movie Freaked on a VHS tape I recorded off HBO many many years ago for quiet a while, I'm sure it's wearing thin on a few spots. So, of course I've ordered my copy of the Freaked DVD!! I can't wait to see it again plus all the extras!

Y'know, I always wondered whatever happened to this guy after "Freaked." It was just like he fell off the face of the planet. It's really good to learn he's been working and productive instead of... y'know... hooked on heavy drugs somewhere!

Man, I remember seeing this movie on Cinemax a long long time ago...that was when there was actually only one Cinemax! eeek

I could never talk about this movie with anyone, not one of my friends have seen it. Maybe this will be the opportunity to finally have this great comedy masterpiece reach to the bored masses. Atleast maybe I can finally find someone so we can both obnoxiously quote this movie nonstop! biggrin
