Rob Zombie has followed up his horror hit House of 1000 Corpses with a much more brutal, ugly and sadistic film, The Devil's Rejects. Rejects keeps some of the characters such as Captain Spaulding [Sid Haig], Otis [Bill Moseley] and Baby [Sheri Moon] but now instead of them being hunters they are being stalked by Sheriff Wydell [William Forsythe] whose brother they had killed.

Check out the official website for The Devil's Rejects

RIGHT FUCKING ON!!!
At least Rob doesn't disappoint with his statement on re-makes (horror)
"Why touch something that is already great"

With the recent flood of Horror re-makes that really have embarrassed the genre, not to mention blashemed the poor Originals...and considering Rob has taken his ideas for his Music and Horror flicks of his own from other earlier and infamously awesome great Horror fliks...I mean casting Karen Black as Ma...well...THAT speaks for itself. Eventhough he is guilty and has been said to have ripped off alot of different ideas from Horror fliks he readily admits to being 'inspired' by (Shit, White Zombies Music is something you could play a Drinking Game to, Naming samples from various cult classics, and a helluva lot of Horror)
Bravo on getting him before he jumps onto Ozzfest.

That is exactly what I was going to say. I hate knowing the ending to movies.

I have a dumb-ass friend who used to like to tell me the ending to movies he knows I’d been waiting to see. Right before a group of friend and I were going to see Fight Club he told me the end. I wanted to fucking kill him.

I put him in his place with the Sixth Sense. I saw it on opening night and came back with some friends the next night and saw it again. I told then you have to come watch this movie before people start talking about it, trust me after you see it you’ll thank me. I made sure that I was sitting next to him and as the opening credits started I leaned over and whispered the end to him. After the movie he was pissed off because I ruined the movie for him. I told him I have two words for you, Fight Club. He’s never done it to me again. biggrin

I’ll still go see the Devils Rejects tomorrow but my enthusiasm for the film has just taken a sever dip.

Hey Rob, you like good movies right? You should check out Citizen Cain, rosebud’s a sled.

Why blame Rob Zombie? Did he post that article? Should he not discuss a part of the movie because it's not officially out? I mean the interviewer had seen it, and I find that what Rob had to say was both interesting and relevant.

You should blame the writer and/or editor for not putting a spoilers warning, they are the sole culprits.

In other news, I have already seen it (phew!) and it's definitely better than the first one.

If you read any articles on this movie everyone has been very upfront with the outcome...I knew they were all going to die months ago...will it take away my enjoyment of the movie? Nope..

Heh. I perfer movies where you know exactly what is going to happen as soon as you pick up the basic structure but the movie manages to tell the story in a new and exciting way.

Really, though, there are only about twenty different permutations of a fictional story, how can you not know the ending?

Eitherway, learning that Rob Zombie is making a movie with an animated Lucha made my early morning.

spoiler or not.. personally i dont watch horror/gore flicks to see the ending. i watch the films to see how it's done. the way the characters move, react, think, and how they develope along with the story is what makes a horror flick to me, not whether everyone dies or the badguy gets away ect..

what pisses me off is there were no midnight premeires of The Devil's Rejects in jacksonville Fl. not a single damn theatre the bastards.. ahh well first showing is at 1pm and i'm there damnit...
