I suppose I could get my mom a membership for christmas but I don't really think you'd all get along with her real well. She's kind of a stick in the mud. I think she might be in the running for the title of "world's most boring lesbian".

Yeah! You totally hit the nail on the head. It seems like i'm different from all of the other lesbians because I like to look like a girl (i.e. shaving my freakin' armpits) and i'm not all into folk music. There's nothing wrong with folk music, I just prefer something that is a little more angry or upbeat. Oh yeah, and i'm not a granola hippie. (although I have hippie-like qualities.)

And the whole butch/femme dichotomy is a royal pain in the ass. What do you do if you're a femme who's into other femmes? You hardly see femme/femme couples, you know? Plus I don't meet many femmes in the first place. I guess I identify myself as a femme with short hair...sometimes I think I have butch qualities, like the desire to be chivalrous all the time.

And yeah, gay women totally play the same games as straight women, i'm so fed up with it! They say they want someone who's sensitive and sweet and all that crap, but then they run from partners who are good to them because they want somebody who has problems that they can fix! (Even I do that sometimes.) You'd think dating a girl would be less complicating than dating a guy, but not so. Sure, women are more nurturing and all that blah yadda blah, but when things turn sour, nobody knows how to hurt you worse than another woman!

Break up with a guy and he'll say "Pfeh. I never liked you anyway." Which you know isn't true.

Break up with a girl and she'll say "I never liked you anyway. And by the way, you know all those times I told you that you looked thin in those pants? I LIED, your ass looks HUGE!"

i know this all too well. i am seeing a girl now who likes to play games, like calling me at 11:30 PM from a bar asking if i want to hang out and go somewhere, only for me to get there and have to hang out with her and her "just friends guy" who obviously wants her.

The best thing about dating a girl is snuggling close in a mound of blankets, pillows, and sheets and resting your head on her chest while talking quietly about nothing important before falling asleep, naked, warm, and satisfied....

The WORST thing about dating a girl is both getting your rag at the same time and having to dodge flying shoes while searching for something to throw yourself...

I'm super femme (nobody EVER knows no matter how good their gaydar is until I either, tell them, kiss a chick, or say DAMN! she's hot!) and I like all kinds of women, and I get pissed at people who think I should be wearing berkenstocks and scratching my hairy legs... However, I'm also super chivalrous as well, so I know that feeling..

haha! i used to be an aspiring lesbian too. but i gave it up because i'm too lazy and apathetic to aspire to anything.

im a big dyke in a small package. i think. yeah. i do adore the ladies, i tend to be attracted to very femme girls, i cant help but love the high maintenance girls. they are just so cute taking all that time in the bathroom puttin on the mascara and such. im an androgenous little munky and i prefer to stay that way. and i dig the secure boys out there that dont view me as a threat, but as their little jen. im a sucker for sg-looking girls, blondes a plus. im glad to see that there are other "family" members here. i hate to be the only homo in a crowd.
