Who else is stuck using 56K modem??

I am stuck in the middle of no where with a lousy 56 fucking K fucking modem. Its the only internet connect out here that doesn't cost huge bucks.
Anyone else still in the dark ages?

haha! sorry i had to laugh. i remember when 56k first came out and i spent like almost $300 on a new card. damn that thing screamed back in the day.

Relax... SG is one of the few places left where you can still get by on a 56k. I was still on it until a few months ago. I told myself when I left I would never forget my roots, but that's a lie, now I have no sympathy or consideration for our internet working classes. How quickly we forget.

I was until this week.... was forced to go almost 2 months with dial up...

I got the 56kz0rs...It sucks horribly. To the point where I hardly bother to look at sets anymore unless it's a girl I know.

I remember when my friends were all excited because they'd just purchased a 14.4 modem. Good god.

I will never ever ever ever ever go back to dial-up. Ever. Sometimes I think my CABLE modem is too slow.
