How long has it taken some of you to earn your bachelors? I'm 23 almost 24 and just getting started!

Took me three years. But I majored in theatre, so my classes were all pretty easy. I want to go back and get my masters, but have to wait till I have the time and the money.

It took me 7 years. I started at community college, got to University and had to retake a bunch of classes, then changed my major.

I've dropped out, back in and out again. I'm thinking of going back full time and working part-time. The only bachelors I'll be getting any time soon comes in a packet and has a soup-like consistency.

i squeezed it out in the four years after high school but only because they let me use Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification as 3 hourts of 300 level P.E. credit and a few other machinations.

that was back in the day, though, when they had things like 'aid' and 'grants' and it actually paid for most of your tuition.

4 years. I know a lot of students here at IU take 5 years, but I never could have afforded a fifth year.

Oh, and I was 22, I think.

You'll be fine. First of all, a lot of people continue their education at later ages. It will be pretty difficult to keep up if you don't keep learning.

I'd also make the assertion that people would be better off waiting until they were a little more developed before choosing a school, major, etc. Asking an 18 year old to make decisions about their life's work seems a bit of a stretch in most cases.

Yeah, while my sister was studying her ass off as pre-law, I was slacking as a theatre major. Also, I graduated in half the time she did, and I got to travel the world as a roadie. Of course, she now makes more than ten times what I make.

Took me five years. I spent the first two in a BSc, then I moved to a BA (Japanese) when I realised science was lame. What's really a pity is that I'd have learned as much in an Arts degree anyway. Damn!
