British radio DJ Tim Shaw will think twice before before neglecting his wife, that is if he still has a wife by now.

After chatting up a model on his radio show saying he would leave his wife and kids for her his furious wife immediately put his pride and joy, a £25,000 ($45,500 USD) Lotus Esprit Turbo sports car on ebay for only fifty pence ($1 USD), stating that she needed to get rid of it before her husband got home that day.

The car was bought by some lucky bugger in less than five minutes.

Mrs Shaw said: "When he said he would leave me and the kids for Jodie Marsh, that was it for me. I am sick of him disrespecting this family for the sake of his act.

"The car is his pride and joy but the idiot put my name on the log book so I just sold it. I didn't care about the money, I just wanted to get him back."

Ebay, find what you're looking for, even revenge.

Kudos to that lucky Ebay winner!

If my memory of all things trivial serves me right, he's now the proud new owner of the same kind of car James Bond drove in "For Your Eyes Only". Cool!

So he didn't actually cheat on her according to that article... he only implied, as part of a radio show act, that he would. So on the basis of what sounds like a joke/flirt that I've heard several other DJs use before, she sells a $90,000 piece of their property for a dollar. That is fucking batshit insane.

Enough of a reason to do something incredibly mean to somebody else.

But it was part of his act.... DJs do that kind of shit all the time. I was listening to a particularly hateful one doing it this morning. His wife should have known that's the kind of thing he does in his job. If she couldn't accept it, she shouldn't have married him.

Unless she married him before he became a DJ. And hell, he should've known that his wife would do something like that. If he couldn't accept it, he shouldn't have married her.

Incredibly mean, or completely stupid and totally insane?

Seriously, are we reading the same article? Does her reaction seem like something a normal person would do?

Unless she married him before he became a DJ, or maybe this was the first time he;d ever done anything like this on air.

Well, now I know you didn't even read the article, because it states right there that it isn't the first time.

Yeah, I forgot about that part. I guess it could be said that including the kids in it made it a different matter for her, though.

I don't know, I just figure it's not stupid if the car was of no interest to her. If the guy knew that these things upset her, I don't exactly feel sorry for him. How come she has to be the one to make compromises when it comes to his act? He can easily continue to be an ass without involving his family.
