Children are becoming increasingly stupid. Fire fighters in North Shields, UK, have had to
un-glue a 13-year-old boy from a lamp post.

They found the 13-year-old boy stuck to the lamppost and they managed to free his hands.

The boy was taken to North Tyneside Hospital where his injuries are not thought to be serious.

Radio reports suggest that the boy was trying to climb to the top by applying glue to his hands and pants, thus making him sticky like some kind of superhuman perhaps, and then shimmying up.

You know.. there was a family guy episode... recently... where Peter tells brian "Look I made a water slide"

By running the house from the top of the stairs.... yeah...

so he rolls down, and lands at the bottom in extreme pain.

Brian leaves him there... and says.

"I am not calling the hospital cause if I do you wont learn anything."

I plan on being the same way.

oh come on....when we were kids we all did stupid stuff...the only difference was 'it was part of growing up' and our parents sure as hell didn't call the papers or blame TV...we took the pain, sucked up the embarassement until our next stupid venture.

I've done some pretty stupid stuff... but at his age I knew what glue was and what it did.

If the kid were, say, 8, it might be a different story.

But 13?

If he wanted stiickiness powers, he should've checked to make sure the glue was either magic or radioactive. The best way to tell is by sniffing it. If the glue is abnormal in any way, you'll know.

I think that happened before with the show Jackass, and all that kid was imitating was some idiot who lit himself on fire. Talk about setting the bar low.

Teenage boy sets himself on fire, it's shameful and stupid. Talentless television personality sets himself on fire, it's ghastly humor. Buddhist monk sets himself on fire, it's stirring protest. Go figure.

Hey, this kid is the shit. I'd rather my kid do something cool like this and ultimately fail, rather than having my kid stuck to the Xbox or whining about his fucking iPod all day long... this was a 13-year-old after all.

Plus, how many people have stories about jumping off the roof with an umbrella or with a towel as a cape? Or similarly stupid crap like that? Yeah.
