fuck that, I sent my day a gift card for his favorite movie store. he's totally going to go buy another guitar, I know it.

I'll remember Father's Day when he remembers my birthday.

Mine probably couldn't remember dick all about me, but I figure a nice gift for a lifetime of putting food on the table and giving me a place to sleep is a pretty fucking good deal regardless. Same goes for my mom during Mother's Day.

That's sweet. If your dad did all of that for you, you're really lucky and you should appreciate your father. Some of us, however, weren't so lucky. Sorry, I'm just bitter about the holiday.

i was very considerate and called my father to wish him a happy Father's Day after i saw a "Happy Father's Day" ad on HBO featuring the Sopranos. needless to say, i came out of it looking a tad bit hasty, and grossly misinformed. what could i do, though? apparently, not trust T.V. commercials to tell me what day it is.
