In the San Francisco bay area freeways, 65 is the slow lane... 101, 880... fun. I'm in the bay area and, in areas of no traffic, the fast lane is usually spinning along at 80 to 90mph... which is proximate to katermueller's comfortable 150 km/h (okay, a bit slower but not much). I'm not talking about a lone suit in a ferrari on his cell phone screaming by everyone else, I mean wolf packs of normal commuters all going at that rate.
The speed limit is purely a matter of enforcement. We effectively have the autobahn already.
