Sony Computer Entertainment president Ken Kutaragi, calls the PS3 an "Entertainment Supercomputer", which is either really great, or really pointless depending on how important you feel super-entertainment is.
To prove this, he plans to install Linux on the PS3's hard drive, just to prove this point.
Well, that will at least save us from the countless "rm -f -r -grep { I installed l00nix on my PS3 } | what?" news items etcetera. I don't know what your average gamer will DO with linux on their ps3 maybe run, K-Stars??
