Publishing titans of all things comics-related, Fantragraphics has launched their first ever blog, FLOG! Helmed by the co-owners of Fantagraphics, Gary Groth and Kim Thompson, as well as Eric Reynolds and Greg Zura, the blog has updates on work from Camille Rose Garcia, R. Crumb, and Chris Ware.

I can mention that I received last week the Xeroxes for Jason's latest book (tentatively titled MAYBE TOMORROW), which is scheduled for release in May 2006, in the same format as the new WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? (i.e. full color). It is set in 1920s Paris and features Hemingway, Pound, Fitzgerald, and Joyce bumming around complaining about their impoverished lives as... wait for it... graphic novelists. Yes, in Jason's tweaked world, comics are the dominant literary form, and thus you get to enjoy such scenes as Ernest Hemingway enduring a supercilious lecture from Gertrude Stein about the superiority of blue pencil over regular pencil ("you don't have to erase!") and the undesirability of narrative captions.

I HEART Fantagraphics, I was just reading RAW this morning.

I wish I had that copy of Blab, I love Mark Ryden, not as much as Trevor Brown, but eh... he's a close second.

Trevor Brown > own.
