Because not only do they include drawing (graphics), sculpting, music, story writing (ok most game stories suck but still) but they have some vague things only gamers can appreciate like "level design" and "player/enemy interactions" and such.
Oh yeah, and you actively participate in the enjoyment of them.
I don't really HATE any artistic mediums but a lot of "abstract art" comes close. But then, there is some really good abstract art, which makes me think that I don't hate the medium so much as the fact that a bunch of hacks make a bunch of shit within the medium and call it art.
I've never been much of a fan of paintings, in most cases. Sometimes, rarely, I'll see one that catches my attention, but the extent of my reaction might be "Ooh. Neat." They just don't speak to me, I guess.
I'm assuming you mean materials and not "types"...
Pastels, because I can work with them without getting a migraine.
Least favorite is acrylics because they give me the worst headache of all
Honestly, I don't have a preference. There are so many wonderful books, movies, radio programs, paintings, music, sculptures...etc., anything you can think of, really. I guess performance art doesn't really do anything for me thus far, but you could broaden that to physical art like dance and such and then we're back at square one.
i'm also going to assume you mean materials.
favorite: i love way too many. actually i basically love everying except water colors. there are so many different things you can do with so many types of mediums. so i love them all. least favorite:i'll go with water colors...b/c that is the one thing i can absolutly not get the trick of.
