Lucky you. I don't mind salt, but I can barely stand the 'ol salt gargle. But damn if it doesn't work. Gargle again before you go to bed, and once again in the morning if it's still hurting.

get a plunger grate into it ginger as strong as you can cope with squeeze in fresh lemon add honey, pour in boiling water and let it steep, then drink it. eat lots of fresh fruit and veg. if you can peel a clove of garlic (obviously not a giant one) and swallow it whole. lots of water also
