liquor vs beer

beer AND whiskey.

case in point, last night a I had a couple beers (high life) and then proceeded to drink an entire fifth of beam white label.

i feel like shit today, if anyone's wondering

If it's liquor and is placed in front of me, odds are it wont be there for long.

Beer's definately an aquired taste.... I'm still adapting - not sure if I'll ever really 'desire' beer.... beer's the sorta thing where you're like "Damn..... I could really use a beer right about now...." regardless of whether you like it or not.

Liquor's... well.... AWESOME. Goes down smooth (most of the time) and gets you good and plastered.

and wine!?

Whew..... wine is the HAPPIEST drunk you'll ever have.

Just dont mix it with beer...............

Whwn I was young, I drank Carling Black Label, Naragganset, Heffenreffer, Mickey's (in the Big Mouth bottle, of course), Piels (only if absolutely necessary), Utica Club, and Rolling Rock when it was $6.99 a case. Oh, and you can't forget Koch's Golden Anniversary. The common denominator: cheap. This was always followed by Jim Beam. Always.

Later, I drank local micro-brews. Sam Adams (back when it was different), Magic Hat, Harpoon, and now Paper City and Berkshire. I like to support local business, and it tastes good, too.

But lately I've missed good old simple basic beer, so I've moved to High Life, Bud, and the occasional Tiger from Singapore. Not much Jim Beam anymore, but there is the occasional Glenlivet and Finlandia.

Ahhhh, alcohol. How I love thee. In appropriate quantities, of course.

I was wondering about that - but I think he probably just made a bad joke but didnt mean to be rude....

i really, really hate being drunk off of wine. i'm not used to that kind of drunk and it freaks me out and... i just don't like it.


i used to never think that i could drink beer. it would make me sick. i was liqour (mostly rum and jaeger or whatever was good in a shot), but now i drink beer. just not ever on the same night.

really, this is what made me change my mind:

ahh, the amount of times i've forgotten that one.

i like beer once in a while but it's filling. i much prefer my stolichnaya (straight, baltika chaser) or whisky.

the only thing jager is good for is liquid cocaine shots. i've actually given away jager before. because it's disgusting.

Most beer is just swill. But a good high alcohol beer, like a barley wine, is nearly liquor at nearly 30 proof. My current favorite liquor is Nemiroff Honey Pepper vodka, chilled, straight. Almost whiskey-like. Good stuff.

It' easy.I drink beer when i'm thirsty and when it's fucking hot (and summers in Rome ARE fucking hot).I drink Wine when I'm out for a dinner,usually Reds wine unless I'm eating Fish.

When I wnat to get drunk,when I'm out with friends,when I want to have a good time I drink Scotch Wiskeys (J&B it's one of may favs),Cuban Rum (Havana 7 is the best),Vodka and Grappa,sometimes the well-known, black-labeled tennesse wiskey.I like Tequila in summer,I love apanish Sangria,and I have a worship for a typical italian liquor called "limoncello",homemade with lemons and alcool.

Yeah,I call myself an hard drinker.

i'm not a big beer drinker unless it's free, and i really dislike the taste of most wines. i don't drink my hard liquors straight anymore though just cause i don't really get to get out and party too much these days, so mostly it's vodka with redbull or any other type of cocktail so long as it doesn't have gin or tequila. i hate the taste of gin and while tequila straight used to be my drink of choice, i just can't stomach it anymore.

YAY! I am totally a liquor girl. It used to be all that I would drink to get drunk. I hated beer so much. Now I am trying to get myself used to it, simply because when you go over to a party or someones house, usually its beer that they offer. But I'm definatly with you. Liquor is my choice, so many more options to enjoy. Hooray for liquor and getting drunk! Thank you.
