Dear Readers -

I am a big fat sissy and have never cared too much for beer. I've been having a passionate love affair with Wyder's Pear Cider, other ciders, and mostly mixed drinks for some time now. However, I am trying to develop my taste for beer. So, can you recommend a good-tasting beer for sissies like me?

Thanks in advance,
The Sissy blush

I don't really consider it sissy beer, but Leinenkugels is a Wisconson company that makes a variety of very tasty beers.

I'd recommend the Honeyweiss and the Berryweiss, although Creamy Dark is my favorite.

Pyramid's "Apricot Ale" is fucking awesome. Well..if you like apricots that is. Anything from Chimay is great.

ooh, not everybody I'm afraid. I'm a bit stout fan and I always have to hear whining from the Corona crew about how heavy it is. I'd recommend trying it though, and....well.....personally I prefer Murphy's Irish Stout. blush
Other than that, I rather like this beer called Fat Weasel. Yes, it's real, and depending on whether there's a Trader Joe's by you it's possible to get a 6 pack for less than 5 bucks! Also, I really like Sapporo Ichiban, although some of my friends prefer Asahi because it's a bit smoother.
Hope that helps a bit. Happy sampling!

I mainly drink hefeweizens, which they consider a "girl's beer" in these parts of the united states. here they serve it with a twist of lemon, but I prefer it without.

I started drinking them after going to the english garden in munich, where I was surrounded by a ton of locals drinking them. most of them men.
anyway, I'll spare you the weissbier history lesson and just tell you to go for paulaner or franziskaner. both are my top two. paulaner being a little more of a fruity taste, with franziskaner being slightly crisper. hacker-pschorr is also good, but it tends to be a little on the dry side for my taste.

also, if you like fruit beers, go for lindeman's kriek. it's a cherry belgian lambic. unfucking believeable.

The Paulaner Hefe-Weizen is pretty good. It's light and a bit fruity in flavor.

Hefe-Weizen beer in general isn't a bad choice if you're not big on heavy flavors. They're light and refreshing. I'd compare them maybe to lemonade or something - the sort of drink you'd expect to sit around outside and drink during the summer.

for sissies? Rolling Rock......Miller Lite.....Corona.......

beer that doesn't taste like beer- Budweiser.

if you're trying to build up a liking for beer, stay away from the cheap crap.

who knows...just try out different ones and see what you like....

try a mexican beeer like Medelo....i wouldn't suggest starting out with something like Red Stripe or Killian's though....
