This is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time...

http://www.livejournal.com/users/marrythesea/103580.html

Excerpt:

Anyway, everyone fights and it's kind of boring. But after that, Padme is taken to a robot doctor who says, "SHE'S GOING TO HAVE TWINS!"

And the audience was all like, "NO WAY! I WONDER WHAT SHE'LL NAME THEM!"

[...]

Bail said he'd take the girl, and then they're left wondering about the baby boy. Then Obi Wan says, "Oh, I know! Let's take the other kid to Tatooine!"

And everyone is like, "OMFG, THAT'S THE BEST IDEA EVER! Let's take Luke to the planet where Anakin grew up and place him with his last surviving family. He'll NEVER think to look for anyone there!"

epIII summary: the entire thing is Padme's fault. Seriously, if it wern't for that bitch NONE of this would have happened. No war, no Vader, no Jedicide...none of it.

She lost her will to live because she realized that her dying was for the good of the universe before she somehow caused the galaxy to implode on itself.

But, like, he didn't think to look there. It was the best idea ever.

technically it can't be tainted. Lucas wrote the script, so this IS the way it happened. If anybody isn't happy about it, or thinks the movie was wrong in anyways...then what exactly would be "right."?

who cares? The first 3 movies wern't exactly broadway either. alot of people forget that.

all 6 movies have had crappy plots, crappy acting, crappy writing, crappy character development, etc.

But who cares! It's star wars, what makes it awesome is that...IT'S STAR WARS

I tend to disagree, the first 3 movies had excellent plots, erm... excellent acting (with a few minor exceptions), much better writing, and well... actual character development.

You mean no pointless tap-dancing and formulaic boy-meets-girl story?

That summary was pretty good. And very generous as far as I'm concerned.

My main thought upon leaving the theater was, Thank god there aren't going to be anymore.

Lucas even managed to change the jedi from mysterious and imposing to pathetic. Practically every single one killed off in a few minutes. Blech. I knew I was in trouble as soon as the talking started.

Lately, I just keep wishing that hollywood would leave SF alone because they just tend to mess it up.
