there should be an "exclusive" setting or something of the like in your opptions that only lets you get emails from those on your address book. why not use that?

Try putting I OPT OUT as the title. If they keep giving you that dumb message, you can report them. Save all the emails, yours and theirs, then send them all to whatver agency deals with that kind of stuff. Then send a copy of that message to the site and call it "Who's gonna get fucked now?" Probably they won't get in too deep of shit, but it'll be satisfying.

Then set your email to exclusive, cause the shit just keeps coming.

well... that's the issue... i get a ton of emails from sg kids that i don't know... so i'm constantly answering emails from unknown addresses.

which is why i end up opening porn stuff to begin with. if "kate256" sends me an email with a subject line "lady's night" how am i supposed to know? haha, i mean, emails entitled, "it's a cum fiesta!" are pretty safe to delete but, well, you know what i'm saying.

on my other email account i don't have these issues. but it's such a pain in the ass!

don't ever reply to spam. all it does is let the spammer know they've got a working address.

exactly what i was about to say. i used to respond to all of the remove links on the porn spam mail i received, and it just kept getting worse.

when i stopped replying to them, the spam decreased tremendouslysmile

Eris,

Maybe you should download something called Adaware from Lavasoft.

Sometimes you can get files installed on your computer that will send personal information to companies (like email addresses etc). Which will then sign you up to spam. These files can be installed without your knowledge through your browser, or when installing other programms.

It's free + when you run it, it will scan your computer (like a virus scanner) + it detects what's called 'adware' + then you can decide whether to delete them or not.

It's shocking how much it turns up on my computer + I do it once a month eeek

Anyway, if you already know about this then sorry, I guess I could've sounded kinda patronising!

Here's the link incase you want it: lavasoft adaware
