I'm surprised that someone who got their name from Anchorman had trouble understanding Napoleon Dynamite.

I liked that film. Despite the uneventful overlay of the setting (Idaho)...i'd say there was so much going on beneath the surface of the characters, that it was brilliant. Thematically, i'd say they did a nice job with the "be yourself, and be great anyway" ideal. If you could look beyond the obvious ackwardness of each character, and look further beyond the physical stereotype, you may regard with admiration the strong sence of self (and therefore unique indiviuality) each character has. There is something admirable in the complete lack of "dramarama" in which they lived their lives, and how they nurtured and supported one another...and the "put upon" Napeoleon added humor and strength to it all.

At least, that's what i got from it.

You have to keep watching for Kip's wedding after the end credits roll...

then it becomes crystal clear.

If you don't get it, it CANNOT be explained to you. You are either on the elevator, or you missed it. We do not stop on your floor.
