Maybe instead of worrying about film promotion at a fast food francise, members of The Dove Foundation could enlighten themselves by studying the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Or maybe the Disney/PG loving cocksuckers should just remember a golden rule: "If you don't like it,Don't look at it."

Seriously, I want to see a commercial with Vader and The BK defacing one of those seals.

I'm sorry, this king is just evil. If I ever wake up with this freak in my bed, I don't care what he offers me for breakfast. BK will be holding a funeral.

Oops, forgot this smile

dead_ringerI have no beef with targeting Burger King

*ba dum ch*

dead_ringerbut I'd argue that if Dove was concerned about the well-being of the family, then it would be better served by speaking out about the ill health effects of fast food on growing children, rather than how a move with no sex; no swearing; and (for the most part) bubble-gum cartoon violence effects the youth of America.

That's axactly what I thought when I read the article. These people are actually getting picky over what coorporate tie-in is being used to make their kids want to eat filth. One would imagine Dove would want the least appealing film possible to children, perhaps a Sideways tie-in, so as to save the kids from *actual physical harm*, not theoretical and subject-to-opinion harm.

is it so obscene for a religious group to take a stance? c'mon, we've all seen it before. look at the state of the world and media, if we didn't have these counter balances our kids would be watching hardcore porn right now. walking in each others shoes is what we need right now more than anything else. i'm not trying to argue against or for, just trying to be a decent middle man.........

Come to think of it, when was the last time anyone's made a G rated movie? I haven't seen a kiddie flick with anything other than a PG rating since I was a kid.

I spent a good 20 minutes laughing at the reviews on the site. They are most entertaining.

I'd agree with that that. It's interesting how often they announce that 'while I found this entertaining, I cannot recommend it'.
Highlights:

'Someone should let the creators of the game know that man does not have the power to conquer Satan, only God does!!! ' - Diablo 2

'The premise of the game is to gain money to buy skills and move on in the game. This focus on the dollar and not on effort and working to learn skills should be noted to parents.' - Tony Hawks 2

'Throughout every level there are people (bad guys) you come acreoss that you have to kill, or you will be killed.' - Goldeneye

'There is a lot of killing in this game but this violence is not seen up close so it will not scare your child emotionaly like so many of the games that are on the market today. ' Age of Empires 2

Thankfully, all the bible games they've reviewed have been been approved.
It's a shame they didn't review any GTA games, they'd be so confused about which part to be angriest about they'd probably explode.

In Age of Empires II you can kill your own people at the click click of a mouse, and slaughter large groups with war machines. . .great fun I admit and very god like in its way, I love the game. . .as for the whole BK vs. vader thing? People they are using DARTH VADER to sell CHEESITS! I mean a symbol of evil and oppression and inevitable if somewhat perdictable easy redemption reduced to levitatating cheap snacks on a box. . .though I am sure all the movies included marketing this one seems to have gone into overdrive. Not that I am really complaining that much I love the add were Yoda tries to mindtrick the guy out of his food or were chewie is recording cell phone riing tones I LOVE THE ABSURD. As for the dove foundation? I grew up with this people all around me and they have way to much time on their hands. Off to work now.

I guess it is kind of stupid to market a children's meal using a film only people older than the meal's target demographic can watch.

It's not so much the film that's marketed, but the franchise..

This is weak. Seriously. So it's morally reprehensible to market sith to kiddies, but Empire would be okay cause it garnered a PG rating? As I recall, in Emprie, Han gets frozen into a giant brick, Luke's hand get's hacked off, and Vader basically bitchslaps the whole crew something fierce. I think that Sith is in no way any more racy or violent than Empire, or even Jedi (Leia in a metal bikini, Luke beating the snoth outta Vader). So for the Dove foundation to bitch and moan about this is silly. Did they even watch the film?

Like anyone cares about what the Dove foundation says anyway.

I agree that this Dove Foundation's comments are about as meaningful as the air that escapes from the average rectum. Who gives a shit what judgements they pronounce?

But...the one major thing Empire lacks that RotS has in abundance is dead children killed by the main character of the piece, who was intended to appeal to children in Ep 1. Thistle's got a good point.

Exactly. Dove should be pressing Burger King to market "Ishtar." That way neither children nor adults will be interested.
