I always used PCs, but decided to spring for an iBook last September. I love it! Highly reccommend it. And it's easy to navigate, so it doesn't matter that you're unfamiliar.

You won't even have to worry about your desk catching on fire or a recall of some sort with one of these tongue!

Sorry, I had to. Also, I have an SD reader and it works great; Windows wise I didn't have to install any extra software to get it up and running, you shouldn't have to with a standard internal piece of hardware.

I personally try to stay away from external devices, as usb can be cumbersome in a mobile (laptop) environment.
