I'm gonna add my two cents on this one.
I love my tat and I'm pretty sure no one will ever get the same exact one as me, as I've had it custom drawn. but even if someone did, I wouldn't care. The tattoo means so much to me and is so personal, that it just couldn't mean as much to the person who copied it. I love my tat and I'll never regret it. In fact, I look forward to getting more!

I wonder if in cultures with tribal tattoos there are kids refusing to have it done. Trying to claim some independent identity, who get lectured about how they are going to regret not getting inked.

I don't have tattoos (never found anything I wanted/needed) but thank god for diversity. I have been blown away by some of the designs on this site. Thankyou to all those who share theirs.

My tats are markers for certain points in my life. My skin is a collage to my history.

And what will it look like when I am 60? It will look like my story and I don't see how that could be anything but beautiful.

I love you. Let's be friends.

I had a Psych professor that mentioned this same topic. He said something along the lines of how if a girl gets a tattoo of a butterfly on her breast, it would probably look like a bird of prey by the time she got old.

Who cares? Tats are pretty hot either way.

bird of prey...LOL!! bok

"Someday you're going to regret that tattoo"

Someday you're going to regret so many of the things that you were afraid to understand or experience.

Someday we're all going to be dust.

Someday..

these negative waves need trouble us no more. I think I may even get a butterfly on my hip, like my mom has.

My mom has a butterfly on her hip, too. smile

I like matching Mum tattoos.

Mine took me to get my first when I was 16.

She got a star on her bum, I got three little stars on my back. To me, they kinda represent me, Mum and Dad. I do wish I'd waited to get something more meaningful but I like that they'll always remind me of my Mum, and only I know that smile

The only tattoo I regret getting is one at a convention by an artist I didn't know. I've had it reworked time and time again but it's behind my ear and there isn't much they can do to fix it.

They are cherries which I don't regret the least, however I know now not to stray from artists that I know or have seen their work in the flesh!

I think it's funny as hell that this threat got resurrected after being idle since 06'. Either way the op was a jerk, and tattoos are awesome. I plan on getting my first one soon.

I dunno... the competitive world of Old Folks Home Beauty Pagents is growing in popularity. biggrin

And I fully intend on being "You know, that old biddy down in room 210 with the 4-leaf clover on her left boob.

I have always said that when I am 80 and wrinkly everything is gonna look like shit, my tattoos will make no difference other than the color of my wrinkles smile

My tattoos symbolize things in my life...I did go out and get some 2 that I regret when I was 18...but re doing it and adding to it will make it better because it was professional in the first place. My only real opinion of tattoos is....it's a way to express ourselves and who we truely are for the world to see with open eyes. Tattoos are beautiful....if done professionally.
