I laughed when Leonardo Dicaprio died in Titanic. Full out roaring laughter in the middle of the theatre.

For me it was when that guy fell off the back of the Titanic and his head hit the prop.. I just couldn't hold it in and all these couples and kids were gawping at me.. fucking good times! biggrin

Not quite as inappropriate as laughing during "sad" scenes, but... I laughed in the theater during Gladiator, when what's-his-face squared off against the other gladiator that had the helmet with the pull-down metal lion face. Everyone was all excited/happy in the theater, and all I could think of was "Hey! Voltron! Form blazing sword!"

Oh, and I laughed several times during Happiness. It's cringe-worthy, but has a great, sardonic humorous side as well.

For non-movies: I laugh at funerals, as does the rest of my family. When my stepdad passed away, we were joking about hooking him up to an animatronic exo-skeleton, knocking the casket over, etc., while the extended family looked at us in horror.

Oh hell, you caused a repressed memory to giggle to the surface...

I've done this as well. Well, so far it was only one funeral. Well, technically, it was just the viewing. A friend of mine's father-in-law had passed away, and his wife really wanted me and another buddy at the viewing even though we hadn't seen each other in years. Within minutes we were laughing like we used to in high school, and suddenly, we remembered we were at a funeral. I don't think my friend's wife was terribly pleased with us. And then, his family came in, and we started laughing when he told us how his father had cut off the tip of his finger recently. Inappropriate giggles a-go-go.

Trying to be funny. I almost got it. But then realised it was nt funny.

A better approach would have been

I just got the Japanese version of passion of the christ. The sound quality is nt that great but the extras are better. But I can t imagine why they left the gag real out of the region one version!!

I can share in this one...only it was my actual Dad's funeral and my-brother-in-law never grew up with Church things so he made disturbed faces when the crowd started chanting and I laughed because the chanting was funny and so out of place to me in relation to my dad. Plus just the various other silly things that always amuse me were still happening so...some giggling occured and I'm sure more than a few people thought I was a evil evil person. blush My dad would've been laughing too though!
