Your quirky habit/strange behavior what is it?

I love this thread. It has made me feel so much more normal.

I'm worse, mine can only be on certain numbers that have no real pattern. The following are the acceptable numbers: 7, 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 22. Nothing else.

I bite my fingernails like a madman.

I can't pee if someone is paying attention to me while I'm doing it. I tend to pee outside like in an alley or in the bushes rather than use public restrooms.

I have to pull the corner of the blanket up over my eyes or put a pillow over my head when I'm trying to fall asleep.

When I orgasm, I subconsciously twiddle my toes together. My girlfriend says it sounds like little gnomes running up behind her.

I use way too many sound effects in conversations with my friends.

My hump reflex is less violent now but not fully suppressed.

I do that too.

I have no idea why.

Other quirky habits:

Daydreaming - When I'm walking to and from somewhere my mind comes up with really elaborate interesting stories about my life.

I also eat one thing at a time when I'm eating. I don't like to mix up the flavours i guess.

i think this makes me a big freak, but i can't write with black pens.

I am perfectly comfortable wandering around the house with one shoe on and tied, one glove on, one shirt sleeve rolled up, etc.

i SCREAM "g-unit" like an asshole at the most awkward and inopportune moments possible, making sure that my voice cracks and squeeks every time. it was funny when i started doing it, like two years ago, now it's trite and i can't stop.

Al's got everyone beat, though i think.

I can NOT set the alarm clock for a time that has the minutes in an even number, a number divisible by 5, or a "duplicate" number. For instance:

Acceptable alarm clock times:
7:31
7:37
7:39

Unacceptable alarm clock times:
7:32
7:33
7:34
7:35
7:36
7:38

Basically, the minute has to end in 1, 7, or 9.


I can't have wet hair. I have to blow dry it or I start to get really uncomfortable. Not physically uncomfortable because my head is wet or cold or something, but mentally uncomfortable.

I have the same black ink fixation. it comes from military I think. I also have a pen fetish. I can't use a shitty pen. I carry my own pen everywhere. I don't care if the clerk at the store gets miffed if I refuse to sign the credit card slip with their pen.

I always skip the last step going down a set of stairs...not on an intervening landing...but the very last step I'll be going down.

I tend to eat one thing at a time and when eating something of a mixed nature (candy or trail mix or what not) I save the ones I like best to the end...sort of like saving the marshmallows in breakfast cereal for the end.

it takes me about three minutes to a week to work up the motivation make a phone call...any phone call.

I rock. when watching a movie or listening to music. I'm just generally fidgety.

I am generally insane.

I can't ride a bike or swim and I don't particularly care.
To be quite frank, when I doodie, my nipples get hard. But that's more of a physical thing than a quirk.
I eat foods separately as well. I also can't drink when I have some food in my mouth.
I fidget like a motherfucker.

I can't use milk if it's been opened for more than 2 days. I can't eat cereal and bread if it's been opened for more than 5 days.

-I constantly do math problems in my head. If i'm looking at a list of numbers for whatever reason, I have an uncontrollable desire to figure out the total, average, etc. If I see a person's birth date I have to figure out how old they are, if they're dead, I figure out how old they were when they died. I read a lot of historical stuff and if I come across one of these bits of info, I will stop reading mid sentence and figure out the number, if I try to keep reading I start freaking out and have to go back and figure it out. I like to know how many chapters or pages are left for me to read in a book. I'll even count the number of chapters left if they aren't already numbered.
-I'm always afraid whatever name or place or event or whatever I'm gonna mention to someone who also knows the answer will not be the right one and will only hint at the answer until the person guesses what I'm talking about.(I think I've lost friends because of shit like this)
-I hate having my back to open space for fear of something/one sneaking up on me.
-I'm extremely fidgety.
-I doodle maniacally if I'm in a classroom setting. When I went to a mental hospital and found out that all the boxes, cubes, etc that I was doodling in school meant I was feeling trapped, I realized that I could tell what classes I liked and didn't like depending on what I was doodling
