I watched it today... I already love it. First film i've laughed at in ages. And yet, indeed I am an old-timey book reader, and missed the odd line ("the diodes, all down one side...") but appreciated the new material.

So happy, will see again many times i'm sure.

But either way, the theater is giving free pan galactic gargle blasters with price of admission! smile

I've had a friend's copy of that book for about 12 or 13 years now and I have never read it. I definitely want to read it before, if ever, I see the movie.

YEAH! Or I'll take back my testimonial.

I'm going tomorrow with a group of people who are giving me endless shit because I'm bringing my towel.

Screw them.

Yes. I love that guy.

(But I've heard bad things, and I'm worried. And tomorrow I am going to be too drunk even to go to the movies, I think.)

Unbelievably, there were no midnight showings in Chicago that I could find, or else that is where I would be at the moment. So a matinee tomorrow before work it shall be.

I have incredibly low expectations, but I am hoping to be wrong as fuck.

Before Nazi takeover, Berlin theatre cabaret thrived. We can trace any cultural downfal to the peoples' love of the local entertainment. Entertainment not counting books... frown

As I mentioned in the Douglas Adams group where you all should be talking about this, I have mixed feelings about it. I liked some of it, but was pretty indifferent to the rest; especially the new and changed stuff. I didn't find it all that interesting, and it didn't seem much like Hitchhiker's Guide after halfway through the movie. Meh.

I have tickets for the first three shows here. Though I still have nearly 8 hours left to wait.

I will be going in pajamas and bathrobe...or my Arthur Dent attire as I usually call it...(even entered a costume contest once with it and got more applause than anyone else) and of course, my towel. (I swear there used to be a towel around here with dolphins on it...gotta find it)

As it stands I plan on trying to divide the theater into three sections.

1. Towels
2. Non-Towels
3. Those without towels, but know where their towel is.
