And I have no idea what to do to fix it...or even who to call or where to go. I can't afford a new washing machine- this one is only like, 3 years old. Do any of you know of any fix-it-yourself websites or have any advice on what I can do? HELP SG!

If it sounds like it is running, but nothing is happening inside, most likely the belt snapped, or slipped off. That is one of the most common problems. /shrug
did it eat one of your leaking kids? that is not a turn on.
