she's hot. and has a cute laugh.
did you get to ask her a q?

if by "ask her a q" you mean "stare blankly and drool a little", sure.

Did you make sweet, sweet love to her for me? Even though she's married?

actual exchange from the Q&A session:

random guy: so since you just finished some work for stargate atlantis, are you going to be attending gatecon in october?

jewel: yeah, i would, but no one invited me. firefly cast members usually don't get invited to stuff...

(several other questions are asked)

random guy #2: uh, yeah. i'm having a convention at my house

(pause for laughter)

...it's called Scottcon.

(lengthy pause)

jewel: ...

I think the one only of us SGers who managed to speak to her was S_Eldorado who managed to say "Jewel, you rock!" as we were walking by after the show.

Is it creepy that I've been following her career for some eight years?

I saw the Serenity trailer in front of Land of the Dead today. It looks great on the Big Screen. No sign of Jewel Saite, however.

I'm stoked for September.

You know, I don't think I ever would have noticed if you didn't point it out.

Not only is she exceedingly yummy, she is an incredible force in front of an audience. Talk about charisma. None of the shy quiet KayLee you see on Serenity. Easily as sweet though.

[Brag]

Not only did I get to throw a hideous pun at her (which she fielded with aplomb), at the Q&A I got to ask her 3 questions. She even answered and everything!

Bow down before my greatness.

[/Brag]

HUGE (and special) thanks go out to Pough and Hetral. "Ticket wielding greatness incorporated." (tm)

I sat next to a girl dressed just like Jewel Staite from the chinese umbrella scene. She had her look down from the pink sandals to the shorts with the teddy bear and heart on them.

That was so fucking bad, it is hilarious. Especially since he didn't mean it. biggrin

What did you ask her? I wasn't watching, but I was listening.

I just finished watching the last episode of this. My (awesome) roommate Drea hooked me on it. Good god.

I feel psychic.. like I can read into the minds of Fox executives:

#1 - Let's start a brilliant show.

#2 - Yeah. And then cancel it!

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

You left out the all important "If" step:

if the show follows a story arc, you MUST air them out of order.

please, tell me someone has an interview scheduled with any of the cast members and/or Joss Whedon. I don't have any money, but I'll totally send a fine pair of gloves to the person who manages to get one.

I'm saving myself for Adam Baldwin.

(Well "saving myself" is a loose term for what I'm doing. I'm refusing to watch the trailer until he personally shows me his gun..)

Awesome.

Made it to the Top 250 Films Ever list too, at number 245.

Unfortunately then a bunch of people went and gave it lots of 1 ratings and it dropped again.
