i *was* a bartender at a late-night dive bar. now i'm "between jobs". but i've found that as long as you show cleavage, they won't be staring at your piercings or hair or outfit or... anything, actually, besides your boobs. honestly, it works. unless you're a school teacher, and then this is a bad strategy. just a thought. wink

well, definitely certain occupations sure. but i've worked in tech (computer programming) for most of my work-life, and they don't tend to give a fuck. tech companies in general (even if you aren't a programmer) are pretty open-minded about that sort of thing. there were plenty of people with multi-colored hair, piercings, hawks, etc. at my last job, and they all made pretty good money.

I'm in advertising and all my ink is easily concealed. Of course when I go out with co-workers and start lifting my shirt after a drink or two, everyone is quickly in on it, but at least my clients don't know...until I go drinking with them.

i got tired of people telling me i looked "too tough" or "not feminine enough" at work, so i just started rocking with the boobs out. made a lot more tips, although people still told me i looked "too tough". the only difference was they said it to my boobs, and not me. confused

same here. biggrin

in fact, clients ask me about my pink hair and tattoos constantly. if nothing else it's a good conversation starter.

So far no one cares about my tattoos and piercings, if we have clients coming in, we know the day before so I just wear a long sleeve shirt and take out my lip ring and its all good.

I work in a shitty office job proofreading online ads. As of three weeks from now, I'll be working for this slavedriver, doing general web mechanery. So I pretty much look however the hell I want now, and I don't see it stopping anytime soon. I must be getting old, though- the most radical thing about me right now is my bleached blond hair with brown roots. Oooooooooh!

I work as a writers assistant usually, though this is the off season. Nobody has ever minded my copious piercings. When I'm not working in TV I sell my artwork. Oddly enough, having a lot of metal in ones face seems to lend credibility to me being an artist in the minds of some business that I sell to. People are funny that way.
