it's a history of George McGovern's B-24 flight crew from training to their missions over germany during WW2. It also covers the whole experience of the B-24 crews of the day in less detail. Great read so far by the guy who wrote Band of Brothers and Citizen Soldiers.

The level of greed is applauding - making a profit is great, pushing to the edge of legal or moving the line, and the targeting of the unsophisticated.

*in fairness loan sharks usually only charge a point or two per week while some of the payday lenders had APR/s & APY's over 300%, 400% or 500%! When the mob is offering more reasonable loan terms there is something fucked up out there.
