So, my kids and I got Chinese for dinner. Rice and spicy chicken, lo mein and orange chicken, egg rolls, beef and broccoli, all sorts of goodies. Anyway, we have our fortune cookies and I read the fortune for my daughter.

"Daddy, what does yours say?"

"It says, 'Your eyes have magnetixed a secret admirer'".

"What does that mean?", asks my 4 year old daughter.

"Well, I guess it meansd someone likes me and thinks I'm cute".

"Dad... You're not cute".

"No?"

"No, you're handsome". This is then followed by a hug that nearly severed my head from my body.

I love that kid so much biggrin

What has someone said to you that absolutely melted you?

i glad YOU didn't die. but i'm more concerned about your cousin, is he ok? a heart clogged with peanut butter is a serious medical problem.

My daughter came into the room a bit ago and said "Mama!..." (in an aggressive voice) ..."I love you." (in a sweet voice). She also likes to say "Mama, I don't like you, I just love you". She's so precious.
My son doesn't really talk yet, but he likes to give me big sloppy smooches. He's the best kisser in the county! biggrin

My little brother, 8 years my junior, phoned me out of the blue one day asking me questions.
When I asked him why, he told me his class had to do a presentation on someone they admire and he wanted to use me.
If he wasn't two hours away, he would have gotten a big ol' bearhug for that one...

I worked with a bunch of adorable kids when I was coaching Swim Team.
There were these little 5 and 6 year olds that were so cute!!..... but usually they were freezing cold from the water and would turn blue.
That wasn't so cute.

My 3 year old nephew came barreling into the room, jumped into a fierce hug, says "Uncle T, you're a super hero!!", then jumps down and runs back out of the room.

About a week later, he comes running in from the backyard, says Godzilla is attacking my house and that he needs the biggest, "dangerioust" monster he knows to defend it....................then stands there looking at me expectantly. I start laughing, go out and have a HUGE battle with Godzilla covering most of my almost acre yard. When I finally roar at the retreating 'zilla, my nephew defiantly shouts at Godzilla's back "Yeah, what's in YOUR wallet?!"

..................I almost blacked out from laughing.

aww these are so cute.

my daughter is 2 and doesnt talk too much. but we have a routine in the morning where we look in the mirror by the front door as we are about to go out with our coats and shoes and all. i ask her "are we cute enough to go out?" she says "yes" and I say "then let's start our day!" and she says "yeah!" one morning we were so late and i was about to run out and she grabbed my hand and yelled "CUTE ENOUGH" I loved that she didn't want to skip one of our special morning routines.

I work with a girl who's adopted two little boys 3 and 5, now. They were both abused mentallym sexually and physically by their natural parents and this girl has gone to hell and back getting them out of that situation, legally adopting them as well as providing them with the care they need to overcome the social and emotional damage that those poor little boys.

One day she brought them to the office (I'd met them several times before) and I said hello and they both came up to me and gave me HUGE bear hugs. They didn't say anything but their faces reflected how happy they were.

It made my day, completely. To see what her love did for those kids.
