If you were given a SUV...

If you were given a brand ass spankin' new SUV, like if you won it as a prize somewhere, would you drive it or sell it?

I would sell the gas guzzling mothafucker, especially for destruction.

I would sell it, but then I don't have a license anyway.

I'd drive it... I've got three kids and I'll be damned if I'm going to drive a station wagon or a minivan.

The Subaru Forrester might be a good alternative. They look cool and have space, imo.

Anyway, I'd sell and buy a hybrid.

Yeah, ideally, I would sell it to Jerry Bruckheimer so he could blow it up. Though that might be even worse for the environment.

Sell it, for sure. I have no use for a SUV. I doubt it would fit in my garage, unless it's one of those small SUVs that still get horrible mileage.

i HATE driving suvs.

not necessarily because they waste gas & shit, tho i do hate that about them, just because

a) you automatically feel like an arrogant ass

and

b) you can't see squat

That said, I would drive the HELL out of this hideous bugger. I'm in love with it:

I drive an old half-ton 4X4 with a V8, and most newer SUVs get better gas mileage.

Now before anybody gets up in my ass about my F-150, most of the time I'm able to walk or ride my bicycle to get where I need to go, and the truck sits in the driveway. I've been fortunate that way, I mean it's intentional that I look for work close to home, but I'm lucky I've been able to find work close to home, most of my life. But when any of my friends or family needs something big and heavy delivered or hauled away, they call me. The guy with the truck.

Anyway I'd probably sell the brand-new SUV, for the cash . . .

Sell and use the cash for a hybrid. You give me an SUV, but then no cash to put gas in it? Hell - even if you gave me cash for gas, I'd still and go with the hybrid - healthier for mother nature and all.

I have had a minivan for a year. It sucks in theory, but I can haul my kids, their friends and all kinds of crap while still getting good gas milage and having a reliable ride. I would sell the SUV and get a VW Vanagone (I'm sure that spelling sucks). We had one before the mini and it was awesome, but always breaking down. I miss "Maude" , she was a great ride.

Easy. Sell it. Pay off some student loans, buy a kick ass used motorcycle. Continue on not having an automobile.

I livr in POrtland, which is home to people thinking they are all kinds of 'green' driving their 1965 volvos. I'm here to tell you that any car built before the '90's spews out many, many times more greenhouse gasses than even a new Hummer.

So if you are worried about pollution, drive the SUV. If you are worried about gas mileage, carpool with 3 friends and you will get better people-mileage than said hippies in their old noxious clunkers.

me toooooooooooooooooo. holy moses. that's a pretty unflattering photo of it, but i saw them review it on an episode of 'top gear' last season, and it's really one of the sexiest vehicles on the planet, inside and out. AND it still manages to kick ass off road.
