Your Glory Days

i best have some fucking glory days ahead..the road to now has been pretty shitty.

I prefer the term infamy, and that's all for the history books to decide...

There's no settling down. It's going to be blood for blood and by the gallons. It's the old days. The bad days. The all-or-nothing days. They're back.

What's the difference between a glory day and a non-glory day? It's hard for me to answer without knowing that. If my glory days is the "best" period of my life, then I have no idea. I can say that each year has been more fulfilling than the one before it, but I could die tonight in my sleep. If I do, then Tuesday 19 April 2005 was my glory day. Otherwise, hopefully some day in the future will be the best.

In my experience, the quality of a given day has a lot less to do with what I drank or did that day, and a lot more to do with whether my spiritual posture was attentive and involved. Every hour that I spend in an attentive, motivated state of mind simply adds to an accumulating pile of "glory", and so every day can be no worse than the day before it.

That's the best I can do, without further understanding of what a glory day is.

behind me i think...from here on out im only going to have more responsibilities and my looks which arent that great to begin with can only go downhill.

For the first time in my life I feel like I'm on the cusp of actually having some Glory Days.
